How to request deletion

You can delete your account by:

• Option 1: Using the in-app setting: In the AliasVault web app or mobile app, go to Settings → Security → Delete Account.
• Option 2: Emailing us: Send an email to contact@support.aliasvault.net with your username and a request for account deletion.

Any account deleted is permanent and cannot be recovered. All your encrypted data, including backups, is deleted.

What data is deleted

• Account profile info
• Stored content
• User-generated data
• Identifiers linked to the account
• All encrypted data including backups

What data may be retained

• Fraud prevention logs
• Offsite backup data (for up to 30 days; see retention period below)

Retention period

Offsite backup data is automatically erased within 30 days.

Processing time

Requests are processed within 7 days.
