I'm happy to share that the latest release of AliasVault, 0.24.0, now introduces the heavily requested passkey support (WebAuthn Level 2) for passwordless authentication, adds three new language options (Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Polish), and brings cross-platform improvements across web, mobile, and browser extension apps. This release also includes important bug fixes and performance updates across all platforms.
π¨ Important Note: This release includes a client vault model update. After upgrading, your vault can only be opened by v0.24.0+ app versions. For self-hosted users: make sure you update your server to avoid compatibility issues.
AliasVault now supports creating and logging in with passkeys on websites and apps. This long-awaited feature brings passwordless authentication to your encrypted vault.
Passkeys provide a more secure and convenient alternative to traditional passwords, using cryptographic keys stored on your devices. If you come across any bugs or issues when using passkeys, please reach out to us on Discord or create an issue on GitHub.

The next release will continue focusing on expanding the core data model to support additional credential types such as identities, credit cards, and more, building on the foundation laid in this release.
