I'm happy to share that AliasVault 0.27.0 is now available. This release focuses on making the browser extension more powerful in daily use: save credentials as you browse, autofill 2FA codes, add for the mobile app: add 2FA via QR scanner. It also includes search improvements, and many bugfixes across all apps that were reported by our community.
When you manually log in to a new website, AliasVault can now prompt you to save those credentials and update the URL on an existing login. This feature was first added in 0.26.4, has since been improved, and is now enabled by default.
You can now autofill 2FA TOTP codes directly from the browser extension. No need to open the extension manually to copy a code. In addition, you can edit 2FA TOTP entries after creation and view the secret QR code (this applies to web app, extension, and mobile), so you can re-scan or migrate codes when needed.
Since the last 0.26.0 release publication, we also added multiple improvements in recent minor releases (0.26.1–0.26.6) which added features like: custom field reorder by drag-and-drop, password generator up to 256 characters, new importers (RoboForm, Microsoft Edge, Enpass), TLS for email, new languages: Danish and Swedish (and more languages in the identity generator), showing all items regardless of folders, server apps upgraded to .NET 10, and various stability and UX tweaks across all platforms.
Now is a perfect time to try out AliasVault if you haven't already. Sign up for free on the web app, and grab the browser extension and mobile app to get started. Prefer to self-host AliasVault? That's also possible! See the installation docs for Docker and install script options. Read up on our mission and roadmap to see what AliasVault will get next.
